RECREATING THE LEGEND
Inspirations from across the Islamic world, woven together in one very special place.
Much of the magic of the original Khan Murjan was in its architectural splendour, so it is with great attention to detail and authenticity that we've brought today's Khan Murjan to life. We have drawn on inspirations from all four corners of the Arab world, with influences from Egyptian, Syrian, Turkish and Moroccan architectural styles. Every piece has been painstakingly hand-crafted using only traditional techniques and materials, from the smallest of iron lanterns to the majestic stained glass window that dominates the ceiling, bathing the alleyways below in a kaleidoscope of coloured light. This feature alone took a team of skilled craftsmen many months to create, using types of glass especially selected from mosques and temples across the Islamic world. It's one of the largest window of its kind in the world and is a sight no visitor to Dubai should miss.
